Sewing day...

Today I finally finished a sewing project that's been sitting in my project drawer for over a year and a half! It was a quick and easy project for jumpers and a blouse for my girls' American Girl dolls. I just hadn't taken the time to do it. Today, I did! Last week I had cut out one set of patterns and used them to make my own version of the pattern for future use. This morning when I began to sew, my oldest daughter asked what I was working on. I showed her what I was doing and then offered to let her cut out the pattern pieces for her doll. She cut every piece out on her own and didn't stop or complain. She is such a hard worker. It didn't take long to sew it all together and by the mid-afternoon we had 4 jumpers, 2 blouses, and 2 stuffed scotties. Aren't they cute!

Proud Patriots

Just had to get this in tonight! I found this t-shirt design on Pinterest...gotta love it! I had made the ones for the kids for our outing to the annual Briscoe Family Pig Cook on Saturday (Love this family). My mother-in-law walked in wearing hers and I had a fit. The kids insisted I make one for myself, so here we are...truly Proud Patriots! Hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th! God Bless America!

It's Summer!

Summer is in full swing, and it is HOT! The kids have enjoyed the time we have spent at the local water park and with the temperatures rising I'm sure more visits are up and coming. I am almost finished with my gifted endorsement course (HOORAY!) and hope to complete my Solidworks certification by the end of July. I hate to say it, but I'm already thinking of the upcoming school year. I just have to stress about something. :) I have found some good information from Pinterest (I know!), and I want to try to get some grants lined up. One of my other goals is to do a better job of posting and sharing some of the things I have made in the past. Thanks for following! -Resa
